SU Weekend

20th Mar 2019

29 pupils headed off to Shannaghmore for the SU weekend.  Everyone had a blast.  All the pupils were very adventurous and took part in orienteering, the low and high roped course, the climbing wall and an adventure walk.  On the last morning pupils ventured out into the sleet, hail and snow to Bloody bridge to do bouldering.  They showed they were a truly hard core bunch and did not hold back from jumping in.  Mr Richardson joined them too.  Of course, the sun came out just after the they had finished their activity in true Northern Ireland style!

Mark Hawthorne was our guest speaker, he has previously worked for SU in the Antrim and Lisburn area.  He spoke on King Josiah from 2nd Kings 23 and how we need to decide what is the next step of faith we need to take in our journey with God.

One of our pupils was highly commended by our instructors.  In all of his 15 years of working with young people doing outdoor pursuits, one of our boys was the first that he had ever seen picking up litter as they took part in an outdoor activity.  Well done JOSH MOORE!

We all had a great time and came home tired but ready for another school week to commence!
