RHS Shoe Box Appeal 2021

7th Dec 2021
RHS Shoe Box Appeal 2021

This year the Rathfriland High School RE and Prince’s Trust departments teamed up to engage with ‘New Hope Residential centre’ and SERVE to run a shoe box appeal. They would like to help children across Northern Ireland and the South of Ireland who come from families affected by addiction by giving them a shoe box filled with gifts and Christian literature. It is hoped that this small act of kindness and outreach at a time when our world is so full of anxiety and sadness will allow the love and light of Jesus to shine through.

Our wonderful RHS pupils and their families have given generously and filled 87 shoe boxes. Amazing work! Boxes were aimed at a range of age groups and have a great mix of essential items and treats for the Christmas season. These gifts, so lovingly wrapped and prepared will be such a blessing to the children and families who receive them. So a massive THANK YOU to all who contributed.

Pictured are a number of our Year 12’s and Year 8’s handing over the shoe boxes.

The RE and Prince’s Trust departments would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your support and to wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas.

Hebrews 13:16 “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
