Last week in English, Year 8 started a book project. Their first task was to create a fact file for the author of their favourite fiction book. Eva Martin (8A2) had searched the internet to find information on the author of her chosen book, Sylvia Bishop. When she realised that the information she wanted was not online, she decided to use an email address she had found to contact the author. To Eva’s delight, Sylvia Bishop replied to her email and provided her with all the information she had asked for (having attached a copy of her fact file for Sylvia to fill in the gaps). Eva was then able to complete her fact file and needless to say she achieved full marks!
The English Department are incredibly proud of Eva - she used her initiative, she persevered and she achieved her best!

Eva is now in possession of the original fact file, written by the author of her favourite fiction book. No doubt she will treasure it forever!
