Drummer Lois Bready didn't miss a beat, as for the first time, she took to the competition scene with her band, ‘The Major Sinclair Memorial Pipe Band’.
Lois started off travelling to Virginia in USA back in April this year, taking part in the prestigious Virginia International Tattoo, placing third in the American Championship. Lois performed in front of 1000's of spectators and visited schools as part of the student educational programme.
Throughout the 2025 competition season, Lois was crowned mid section, bass and tenor:
- Fermanagh Champion
- Mid Ulster Champion
- Lisburn and Castlereagh Champion
- Ulster Champion
- Heart O’ Down Champion
- Champion of Champion Northern Ireland
After travelling to Scotland to compete at The World Pipe Band Championship, Lois came 4th in the World in a very competitive senior grade.
You will be able to see some of Lois’ journey as the new series of 'The Band' will be screening in Autumn.
We wish Lois every success as she prepares to compete in The All-Ireland Solo Championship on 20th September 2025 in Lusk, County Dublin and for 2026 as she heads to Avenches, Switzerland.
