Rathfriland high School was delighted to present a cheque to the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance Charity for £1092.10. This followed a recent collection by the school. Mr Matthews commented “This cheque demonstrates the generosity of our pupils, parents and staff and reflects the value the wider community places on the excellent work done by all involved with the Air Ambulance.” The cheque was gratefully accepted by Colleen Milligan, who highlighted the importance of contributions such as this in meeting the running costs of the service and ensuring it is available when needed across N. Ireland. This is Colleen’s second visit to Rathfriland High School in recent weeks following another presentation of funds to the Air Ambulance from last year’s Year 12 pupils. Many thanks to everyone involved, including Rathfriland High Scripture Union who donated some of their funds to the collection.
