Congratulations to our U15 Boys Football team who clinched the South Down Plate, winning a tightly contested final vs. Newry High School.
It was a cut and thrust game with the Rathfriland boys creating a number of chances in the first half. A mixture of good defending and poor finishing saw us frustrated heading into half time, until Charlie Smyth found Seth Henning with a ball over the top, which he calmly slotted into the bottom corner, scoring what would be the only goal of the game.
A good season from these young men and the third year in succession they have lifted this trophy. A great achievement and they should be very pleased and proud of their efforts.
